What is Infusion Services

In simple terms, infusion therapy refers to the process in which patients receive medications via needles or catheters in a vein. Receiving this care at home rather than a healthcare facility or other care setting is a more cost-effective option, and is referred to as “home infusion therapy.”

We provide a wide array of infusion treatments treating the following conditions:

Frequently Asked Questions

It is very different than most pharmacies and therefore encourages patients to visit our facility and learn how your infusion medication is compounded. You may be amazed at how sterile, organized, and welcoming our pharmacy is. We ask all patients who are interested to call ahead and plan on picking up at least one dispensing so that you can see what we do

We  will keep track of the number of doses you have at home and will call a day or two prior to you running out of medications. Some IV medications will have a short shelf-life after being compounded and may require twice per week deliveries. If something happens to your medication and you need to waste a dose please notify the pharmacy so that we can update our records. Please remember to rotate your inventory at home and use first the older medication at home. Always check the “discard after,” date on your prescription prior to infusing.

We will send all the supplies necessary to infuse your medication and maintain your venous access. For items related to wound care or other needs you will need to check with your nursing company.

Capstone Vital Care will be open regular business hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. If you have an emergency please call (407) 992-8494 and follow the prompts to reach our on call pharmacist. If you would like to leave a message after hours you may call the number above and follow the prompts to do so. We will respond to all messages the next business day.

Capstone Vital Care will send all supplies needed to infuse your medication and maintain your venous access. This will include your heparin and saline flushes, batteries if needed, needleless connectors, dressing changes etc. If you are needing additional supplies beyond what we are sending, please notify the pharmacy.

We will send many deliveries via UPS or FedEx to arrive the next business day.
